ABOUT ME
Tara has roots in the Kansas City metro and life experiences spanning the globe. She has always considered herself a “performing arts junkie” who loves to take in all varieties of performance as means of inspiration and enjoyment. Her background in dance and theatre began in her growing years and her pursuit has yet to stop. She studied Dance, Theatre, Design, and Leadership at the University of Kansas, a unique blend that melds her creative side with organization, focus, and respectful collaboration. Her training has also taken her to Los Angeles, NYC, and includes performing with a traditional Indian folk dance company.

Tara has been working as a choreographer, adjudicator, instructor, and performer for over a decade. Her work focuses on live performance, building entire worlds in musical theatre, or creating new site-specific works. She also creates work for dance ensembles, in competition or performance atmospheres.
As an educator, she relishes the opportunity to build students up to be bold, artistic, and playfully communicative of the story at play. In all realms of work, she happily supports performers of all abilities.
Beyond her work, her greatest joys include her husband and two imaginative children!
